Ted E. Bear Persians has available an adorable tort female Persian kitten. She is now eight weeks old and will be available as soon as she sees the vet. Her date of birth is February 15, 2014. The tort color is classified as a solid color with the Cat Fancier's Association. These cats are always female and range in color from black to brown with frequent areas and streaks of red.
This lovely little girl comes from the Steeplechase Cattery lines ( in South Carolina), as well as Shadow Oak Cattery in California. Both catteries are world-renowned for their stunningly beautiful cats that have characteristics matching the breed standard, thick, full coats, short fluffy tails, big eyes, round heads, small ears and cobby bodies. We started our cattery in 2010 after doing considerable research and with the goal of producing the most beautiful cats possible, but also cats with friendly, lovey-dovey personalities making them the pet of a lifetime - for you. We brought our cats in from all over the world - Russia, Germany, South Carolina and California to get the best start possible. Our owners are thrilled with their kitties! All kittens are CFA registered and may be shown if so desired.
All of our kittens are guaranteed to be free of PKD (polycystic kidney disease), ringwork, fleas, mites, feline AIDS and feline leukemia. They will have seen the vet and have been de-wormed and vaccinated.
Our foundation cats cost us thousands of dollars as that is what it takes to start a cattery off on the right foot. We want beautiful, strong, healthy cats that will be the best pets you ever have in your life. This, like so many things, is a situation where you get what you pay for. Our cats get an excellent diet and top notch veterinary care to give our kittens the best chance for a healthy life. We never, ever cut corners. We do not vaccinate our cats ourselves and every cat is thoroughly checked by our vet. We never, ever cage our cats - they have the run of the house and choose where they will sleep. Our cat food bill is higher than our own food bill. Persians are more likely than other cats to have birthing problems resulting in veterinary intervention. These are the reasons why our cats may be more expensive than what you are used to. If you have tried to buy a show quality cat you may have come away disappointed. Most catteries keep their best kittens to show. We are not interested in show ribbons. For us it is only about the cats.
Our motivation started with a gorgeous red Persian named Buster that we got from Steeplechase many years ago. He was the pet love of our lives. He was the sweetest boy ever, ever, ever, and it is our goal to produce cats like him. A pet like Buster was will greatly improve your quality of life providing you with love and laughter.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We welcome visits from prospective owners as this will give you a chance to see all of our cats and give you a sense of what your kitten will grow up to look like. We can ship our cats at the buyers expense, but it must be with a courier so that kitty rides in the cabin - not cargo. To date this has cost less than cargo, but current prices would need to be quoted by the courier. You are welcome to fly to Rochester to pick up your kitten and we will happily meet you at the airport here.
We require our buyers to sign an agreement to neuter their pet and to never declaw their cat. If you are looking for a cat that can be declawed, please look elsewhere. If you want to get a cat to breed we would be happy to discuss that with you. Once you understand what is involved I suspect you will decide against it. It is not our goal to keep other people from becoming breeders, but if that is what you want to do that you go into it fully informed.
We are expecting more kittens in May of 2014 and expect reds, creams, reds and whites and cream and whites. We don't expect any additional torti
